Beautiful Italian retreat!

This house is amazing! We loved our stay and hope we will be able to go back one day. Everything is beautiful, there is a lot of attention to detail and it's very comfortable. The kids LOVED the 'back garden". We were worried that the house might be cold but found it extremely cosy and warm. Maria was very helpful and friendly and helped us to settle in.

We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad en erg genoten van het huis en de omgeving. Zo dichtbij de drukke stad en dan zomaar midden in de natuur in alle rust. We wilden nog helemaal niet naar huis...

Esperienza fantastica. Una bellissima casa immersa nel bosco con tutte le comodità, da una cucina piena di accessori per cucinare ad un impianto di riscaldamento veramente perfetto. Un gioiello in mezzo al bosco, perfetto per un weekend romantico o per una vacanza con gli amici.

Abbiamo trascorso tre bellissimi giorni immersi nella natura, la casa è un antico mulino ottimamente ristrutturato situato a poche centinaia di meLucitri dal paese. La dotazione della casa è molto curata, completa e di qualità. Maria Giovanna è stata disponibile e gentile, si è subito prodigata in consigli sui numerosi percorsi ed escursioni possibili in zona che si sono rivelati veramente utili ed azzeccati. Ci siamo già ripromessi di ripetere l'esperienza duranta il periodo estivo.

Maria's house in the hills above Bergamo is a truly unique and lovingly decorated home. The landscape, surrounded by forest and a running creek, was perfect for getting away in nature, while also close to Bergamo's historic old city--very convenient for visiting by car. Maria and her husband were incredibly helpful, showing us the way with their car and helping us with our bags, etc. Traveling in late November, we tended the furnace to keep the house warmed downstairs and were always very toasty with the heating upstairs. We'd love to came back for another visit in springtime or summer and can recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful break from city life.

Maria met us and led us to the house. It was absolutely charming!! We loved our time there and would recommend it to anyone. Open the windows and enjoy the sounds of the brook running below the house! There was a wonderful bakery in the town center for breakfast pastries and a fabulous resturant for dinner.

Die geschmackvoll und feinsinnig eingerichtete alte Mühle war uns für 1 Woche zu Hause und Auszeit vom Alltag. Die Abgelegenheit wurde mit Ruhe und Ursprünglichkeit belohnt. Die Gastgeberin Maria war äußerst nett, hilfreich und zuvorkommend, hat beste Tips für die Umgebung auf Lager und es hat in der Abwicklung alles hervorragend und fehlerlos geklappt. Dieser Ort ist ein Geheimtipp für alle, die auf ein 5-Sterne Hotel verzichten können, um in der Nähe von Mailand und den oberitalienischen Seen einen unvergesslichen Urlaub zu geniessen. Vielen Dank noch mal für eine tolle Woche!

Una soluzione perfetta per vivere in un bosco affascinante e silenzioso. Abbiamo trascorso un weekend rilassante tra amici, lo consiglio vivamente anche per la disponibilità e gentilezza della padrona di casa.

Il mulino nel bosco è semplicemente un posto stupendo e rilassante dove passare un week end immerso nella natura. Un arredamento molto ricercato e una casa perfettamente curata. La loro ospitalità assolutamente egregia e cordiale ha reso la nostra vacanza perfetta. Posso solo consigliare la loro soluzione abitativa per le vacanze e noi ci torneremo sicuramente.

Maria was a very considerate and gracious. Despite the fact that I made a wrong turn that meant we were an hour late, she made sure we felt welcome and even made sure we had something to eat before we turned in. The mill was very rustic and fit right in with the natural beauty around it. My children enjoyed playing at the natural pool and waterfall behind the property. There were some moths and a few bugs, but nothing unexpected for a location in the trees. I loved this cabin and am very pleased with our host.
